Come have some fun in Savanna!

Recreation in Savanna is one of our biggest and best draws. We have golf courses, marinas, a bike path, and a US FWS Nature Center. There is plenty of bank fishing available if you're looking for a quiet spot to while away an afternoon. The Palisades State Park lies just north of Savanna along the Mississippi River with miles of walking trails for all levels of hikers, as well as picnic areas and campgrounds. Additionally we have private campgrounds in the area for both tents and campers. There are downtown businesses with weekend music, a movie theatre, and an old traincar for the lovers of a bygone era. We have several city parks with a variety of playground equipment, ball diamonds, volleyball, tennis, and basketball courts, and walking paths. The view from Marquette Park on the Mississippi is not to be missed, and is a great place for an afternoon or early evening picnic. An indoor swimming pool allows for year round enjoyment of the water. There are numerous fishing tournaments throughout the summer and fall months.
